Albert Bitton, an army medic, was killed a week ago with two other soldiers after a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle.
His Levaya took place on Tuesday morning at the Yeshurun Shul in Chicago. Hespeidim were delivered by his Rov, Rabbi Zev Cohen, Rabbi Matanky, the Dean at KINS, and two friends..
“And his life, although cut so terribly short, has inspired a community,” Rabbi Cohen said. “Therefore his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.”

Those pictures can bring anyone to tears.
Very sad. ALthough they meant it as a Kovod, it hurts me to see goyim handling the Aron. The true Kavod would have been to only allow shomrei mitzvos to handle the kevurah.

To #2—-gedolei yisroel were consulted as to how everything should be handled at the levaya and kevura—no need to be hurt about that. Just be sad for the loss that has been endured. Ditto to your #3 comment….and all tears of pain should cease…..
