Sen. John McCain is defending the special counsel investigating Russian election interference after a series of tweets from President Donald Trump revived chatter that the Trump may be preparing to get rid of the veteran prosecutor.
The Arizona Republican wrote on Twitter on Sunday that it is “critical” Robert Mueller be allowed to complete a thorough investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election “unimpeded.”
Trump’s tweets revived talk Trump may, in an attempt to end the investigation, move to have Mueller fired. But White House lawyer Ty Cobb sought late Sunday to tamp down the speculation by saying the president is not contemplating such a move.

All of sudden Senator McCain has something to say. Where was he when Hillary was colluding with the Russians so they could get control of 25 per cent of our uranium stock? Not a word. Where was he during the “fast and furious” fiasco , when Obama allowed guns to fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels? How about when Obama was “dissiing” Benyamin Netanyahu and making things difficult for Israel? He had his chance to be president but ran a lousy, message less race. He and the rest of the “establishment” Republicans better wake up. Trump’s election was a wake up call. You guys are not representing conservative values. I live in Arizona, sorry to say, Senators McCain, and Flake are “undocumented Democrats” impersonating Republicans when up for reelection. Now look, McCain is very, very sick, but still has the strength to “challenge” Trump. Flake is even more pathetic. He couldn’t win renomination for his senate seat, so now he’s a big macher, in the news bad mouthing Trump. He even talks about running for president. Chutzpah! Like I said he can’t get elected to any office here in Arizona. He must have George Soros’ support to even think so insanely.
