Police on Sunday were investigating a deadly incident involving a bus and a pedestrian in Essex County.

CBS New York reports investigators say the body of 26-year-old Maya Moar A”H from Holon, Israel was found at the intersection of Mount Hebron Road and Grove Street shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday. Moar was an au par, working for a family in Montclair.

Authorities believe Moar was struck by a DeCamp bus as she was debusing near the corner. DeCamp is a private bus company headquartered in Montclair.

The bus did not remain at the scene, according to officials.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Israeli Consulate in New York was reportedly assisting efforts to transport the Niftar to Israel for Kevura.
