A dozen lawmakers from the House and Senate received a briefing from Yale psychiatrist Dr. Bandy X. Lee on Capitol Hill in early December about President Donald Trump’s fitness to be president. At least one Republican was reported to have attended the gathering.
Lee has also been asked to speak with additional lawmakers worried about the President’s mental state, and an event is scheduled for later this month.
“Mr. Trump is showing signs of impairment that the average person could not see,” Lee said at the event. “He is becoming very unstable very quickly. There is a need for neuropsychiatric evaluation that would demonstrate his capacity to serve.”

In a phone interview Thursday, Lee told CNN: “Lawmakers were saying they have been very concerned about this, the President’s dangerousness, the dangers that his mental instability poses on the nation. They know the concern is universal among Democrats, but it really depends on Republicans, they said. Some knew of Republicans that were concerned, maybe equally concerned, but whether they would act on those concerns was their worry.”
Lee’s public comments are highly unusual given protocols from medical professional organizations — including the 37,000-member American Psychiatric Association — banning psychiatrists from diagnosing patients without a formal examination.
Lee made it clear that she is not in a position to diagnose the President, or any public figure, from afar. But she said that it is incumbent on medical professionals to intervene in instances where there is a danger to an individual or the public. She argues that signs the President has exhibited have risen to that level of danger.
During the White House briefing Thursday, press secretary Sarah Sanders called questions about the President’s state of mind “disgraceful.”
“If he was unfit, he probably wouldn’t be sitting there, wouldn’t have defeated the most qualified group of candidates the Republican Party has ever seen,” Sanders said, before praising Trump as an “incredibly strong” leader.

Most Democrats hold that being a Republican is form of mental illness. Most Republicans consider Democrats to be totally delusional and out of touch with reality.
Most normal people realize that to be a politicians is a form of insanity. This is NORMAL.

CNN reports on a guy diagnosing a guy from what means? Watching late night comedians or watching CNN’s interpretation of events? Either his is quackery at it’s finest, or this person is doing it for advertising of his own practice.
The so-called psychiatrists in their day leading up to 1964 said similar things about Goldwater (Republican), which led to a landslide victory for Lyndon B. Johnson (Democrat).
But a 2016 study by Duke University Medical Center reviewed biographical sources for the first 37 presidents (1776-1974) and found half of them had been afflicted by mental dissorder, with Lyndon B. Johnson suffering from “bi-polar” disorder.
I believe Lee has to be checked out whether she is mentally stable!!
Hillary is stable; yeah, when she screeches, says nothing, lies obsessively, has delusions of grandeur, totally narcisstic – well, she’s emotionally stable and fit to serve as president. Trump, who’s anti establishment, conservative, pro israel, anti terror, pro america……. that’s mentally unstable. The left is so pathetic it’s beyond anything we could’ve imagined years ago. They’re becoming more and more unhinged. They tried the russia nonsense, they tried the harassment, they’ll try mental stability….. whatever it takes. Apparently, he’s an existential threat to the dems and the left; he’s discrediting their phony humanism, and doing what a president of this country is supposed to do.
The senate is a JOKE, together with CNN and the rest of the media.
Trump has done more GOOD for the country as a president in one year than the previous 4 presidents combined!!!
They obviously can’t argue on what he has done, because proof is in the pudding, just take a look at the economy..!

It is very disappointing that YWN runs such tabloid articles as if they are credible, particularly from CNN which is known to fabricate articles. President Trump has shown nothing but chesed and kindness to Jewish people and Israel and should be treated with kavod malchus as the current parshos teach us. at the same time, political leaders, regardless of their affiliation, who have yet to do their first favor for an Orthodox Jew and instead focus all their energies on the toavah community (eg, Charles Schumer – the one Senator who refused to publicly help Shalom Mordechai Rubashkin – and his liberal friends) should receive no respect from Torah observant Jews.
A Shrink who violates the ethics of the profession by offering a ‘testimony’ (read: Leftist biased political opinion) to a bunch of politicians who wear their bias on their Leftist sleeves. Charming.
Tells us nothing about the President, but plenty about those who participate in the sham.
If you aren’t offended by this, you lack mental facilities.
