  1. A lot of frum Jews side w/ republicans on a national level but are registered democrats as, on the local level where it is more important on day-to-day community issues, the local politicians likely to be elected are democrats. Thus, when it comes to national primary elections in states like NY where you cannot vote for the other party, those people registered as democrats HAVE to not vote or vote for the better fo the choices on the democratic side.

  2. DEAR “LAWMAN”–NO. 7

When you register for a party, you are pledging loyalty to its platform. The platform of the today’s Democrat party is the official promotion of the lowest forms of immorality.

To register your loyalty to such an agenda is a Chilul HaShem.

  3. DeepThinker, I think you are wrong.
    Lawman said it quite well.
I’m a republican, I vote republican, think republican, but am actually a registered democrat. Thats bec. in my neighborhood, the Jewish politicians are democrats and I like to be able to vote for them in primaries.
Only in presidential primary elections like these does it become an issue.

I do consider switching parties, but do realize there are reasons why ppl would register democratic. And dont go throwing around phrases like “to register your loyalty to such an agenda is a chilul Hashem” how do you know if this is a chilul hashem, you dont get to decide.

  4. As opposed to the Republican party, who claims to promote morality but in fact promotes corporate greed and the wanton waste of HaShem’s creation.

Which is the bigger Chilul HaShem?

For what it’s worth, I would never in a million years vote Democrat or Republican. Anybody who wants to ensure that America remains a safe place for Jews should be voting Libertarian.

  5. Now the the primary is done for most of us, just make sure to vote for McCain over Obama or Hillary during the general election no matter what party you belong to.

  6. HERE IS A NO-HOLDS-BARRED QUOTE FROM RAV AVIGDOR MILLER ON THIS SUBJECT:

The kosher majority. (Orthodox Jews as political conservatives)
From: National Review | Date: 4/10/1987 | Author: Feder, Don

The national Democratic Party has beentaken over by our enemies: the wealthy and powerful anti-family radicals–including organized and militant homosexual and lesbian leaders and feminist extremists, . . . Marxist-revolution sympathizers, irreligious educators, and affluent, snobbish social engineers who despise virtually everything we stand for.

Thevoice belongs to Avigdor Miller, a highly respected Orthodox rabbi and leader of Brooklyn’s Congregation Bais Yisroel. Without fanfare, Orthodox Jewry has become a stronghold of conservative sentiment, particularly on social issues.

  7. B”H so many yidden turned out to support our good friend Hillary! She should be matzliach not only in the primaries, but also in the election, so she can start putting this country back on the right path!

  8. Dear Garmet,

“our good friend Hillary” ??? “SHE will put this country back on the right path” ???? What’s wrong with you ??? If you prefer a socialist country move to Venezuela !!!
