The New York State Police have arrested four people in connection with several burglaries involving the theft of copper, MidHudsonHews reports.
The investigation followed a report of individuals entering a vacant summer camp in Ulster County where several hundred pounds of copper plumbing was stolen over a period of several weeks. The suspects had broken into the buildings then sawed the pipes from the ceilings and walls in order to remove them. The copper was then sold at scrap yards in Ulster and Orange counties. Over 400 pounds of copper was recovered by the police.
According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, the suspects were alledgely involved in the theft of copper piping from the Sullivan County area – possibly camps and bungalow colonies.
Following an investigation, police arrested Frank Hasenflue, Jr., 28, of Kingston, Richard Allen, 21, of Port Ewen, Tammy Gritman, 27, of Kingston, and John Crispell, 36, of Kingston. They were all charged with felony burglary in the third degree with additional charges pending.
They were all arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail.

just wait till it happens to you. Then we will see how chilled you are. The repair costs 10 times their gain, if not more.
I was not implying in any way that they get away free after committing this crime – I absolutely agree that they should be punished but not with the punishment you described.
Hey ‘CHEVRA’ I don’t understand you the Kolel guy is speaking like a real KOLEL guy [in his first comment] because Halachicaly speaking the punishment a ‘BEN NOACH’ ie ‘GOY’ receives for transgressing his 7 commandments known as ‘Sheva Mitzvos Bnei Noach’ is ‘MISSA’ or ‘DEATH PENELTY’ and Stealing is one of those 7 Mitzvos, so do the math yourselves and i’m sure the outcome you’ll get won’t be far from the ‘KOLEL’ guy although maybe not so grusome.
