President Donald Trump on Wednesday tweeted a call to boycott “Fake News” CNN, a day after the network said it is boycotting this year’s White House media holiday party.
CNN said in a statement that “In light of the President’s continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as his invited guests.”
The network adds that it will be sending a “reporting team” to Friday’s event to cover any news that develops from it.
Trump’s tweet came in response to a tweet from White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, saying: “Christmas comes early! Finally, good news from @CNN.”
President Donald Trump has repeatedly bashed CNN as “fake news” and tweeted over the weekend that CNN International represents the U.S. “to the WORLD very poorly.”
He said, “The outside world does not see the truth from them!”
The Trump administration is also fighting AT&T Inc’s deal to buy CNN’s owner Time Warner Inc., and has floated the idea of forcing Time Warner to sell off CNN.
Great, and we should boycott Fake News CNN. Dealing with them is a total waste of time! https://t.co/8zJ3j7g5el

I don’t think there needs to be a boycott because no SANE person is watching CNN. And for the record CNN is one of the most anti-semitic news outlets in the world
