A young girl was R”L struck and killed by a school bus in the Village of Kiryas Joel late Friday morning, State Police said.

The child, said to be five or six years old, was struck around 11:30AM in the area of Acres Road and Lemberg Court.

Kiryas Joel Hatzolah were on the scene in seconds, but were unable to do anything to save her life. She was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

Sources tell YWN that the girl may have been struck by the same bus from which she had just exited.

The name of the child and the Levaya details will be published when they are available.
