Dozens of people were rudely awakened and forced to evacuate after a water main broke, shooting water into the air and flooding streets in a Brooklyn neighborhood.

It happened just before 5 a.m. near Pacific Street and Atlantic Avenue in Crown Heights. Video from the scene showed water shooting up into the air like a geyser.

About 50 people have been evacuated.

No injuries were reported on Thursday morning in Crown Heights.
