So who set it on fire? The Jews or the non-Jewish resident who currently controls the hotel.
There were this past Rosh Hashana time, about extreme frustrations from the locals. Concerning the filth garbage and disruption that was annoyingbthrn on a hourly bases.
Perhaps (guessing) this is a retaliation of some sort.
Looks like they’re putting it out with a gardenhose.
“extreme frustrations from the locals” at the massive influx of US dollars around RH time when tens of thousands of Jews arrive to enrich Uman locals. Poor Ukrainians, huh? They only earn a whole year’s Ukrainian average wage in the week around RH. Must be so frustrating for them and really prompts them to retaliate.
YWN, maybe you can try to keep obvious anti-Semites off your comments section?
The picture of the rebbe isn’t touched by the fire !
770Chabad: Neither is the picture of the Jacuzzi! Mamish a miracle!
Yehuda26: Do you allow your boss to put garbage all around your office and house just because he pays your bills? And not every single person who lives and/or works in Uman necessarily make money from this silly pilgrimage, so there are many individuals who are inconvenienced but do not profit.
