New York City’s Republican candidate for mayor is campaigning on a broken foot after tripping over her Chihuahua.
State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis tells the Daily News that she ran into a table leg while trying to avoid stepping on the little dog, named Peanut.
Malliotakis says Peanut “gets really excited” whenever she’s home, and is always following her around.
She calls him “a little rascal” and says she doesn’t hold a grudge.
Malliotakis is hobbling around with a medical boot but vows that it won’t slow her down.
She even joked at a campaign appearance Tuesday that she’s ready to give “the boot” to Democratic incumbent Bill de Blasio.

We’ve got to make sure she gets in. Enough of you-know-who.
So, Frumguy, are you going to round up all the Chihuahua-sized dogs to help your candidate?
And, what is your candidate going to do about the current pre-K program that subsidizes religious – including frum – pre-schools?
@huju She’s not going to do anything about the pre-k because that would aggravate demographics that tend to send their children to christian parochial schools and vote in blocs. But even if she does end pre-k, honestly? Parents are paying tuition to the frum schools for kindergarten anyway, and if she gets homeless people off the streets and makes it safer to walk around town, I think it’s a reasonable price to pay. Anyway, who else will you vote for? Dietl??? De Blasio, who spends his day at the gym, uses government helicopters for personal things, and is so dishonest that after he became mayor he allowed the very hospital he had campaigned to save to be sold???? Malliotakis seems to be not crazy and doesn’t have a record of dishonesty. Seems like a pretty good choice to me.
