New York City police have rounded up an unusual suspect – a young bull on a soccer field.
The runaway was spotted at Prospect Park late Tuesday morning.
Witnesses said the bull bowled over a 1-year-old girl in a stroller as it ran into the park. The child suffered a busted lip and a black eye, and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit trapped the cow inside the Parade Grounds near Coney Island and Caton Aves around two hours later, and herded it into a police horse trailer headed toward rescuers on Long Island.
WABC news helicopter video showed the bull wandering around the field, staring back at people lined up along a fence and occasionally breaking into a jog.
The bull had escaped from a slaughterhouse on Fourth Avenue in Sunset Park.
