Tropical Storm Nate weakened Sunday after making its second landfall in Mississippi, but remnants from the storm are expected to impact the New York City area.
The AccuWeather forecast calls for heavy rain starting on Monday and then tapering off by early Tuesday.
The heaviest bands of rain are expected between about noon and 5 p.m. Monday.
Minor urban flooding is possible with rainfall amounts in the 1-3 inch range.
Skies will clear later in the day Tuesday but another round of showers is expected on Wednesday.
