(Click HERE for photos) This past Tuesday night marked a momentous event for the Queens Community. Chaverim of Queens which was founded in memory of Jack Friedman A”H a well known Baal Chesed, had its inaugural training for over fifteen men. The training took place at Maven Motors in Kew Gardens, where members where thought road-side assistance, locksmith skills, and the basics about auto repairs.
Besides for the members, many local community officials and representatives came including Councilwoman Melinda Katz, Captain Charles McEvoy (Commanding Officer, 102 Pct.), Captain Steven Cirabisi (Commanding Officer, 107 Pct), Auxiliary Captain Michael Simanowitz, NYPD Community Affair Officers, Rabbi Zvi Gluck (NYPD Clergy Liaison for PBQS), Rabbi Daniel Pollack (NYPD Clergy Liaison), Yitschok Rowe (Queens Hatzolah Coordinator)

Chaveirim is a wonderful organization. Everyone who lives in a community with Chaveirim should have their phone number on their phones. They’ve helped me and my family a few times. Always arrived within 15 minutes, did their work professionally and so friendly.
