The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that 1,400 tickets were issued by New York State Police Troop T to motorists for speeding violations during “Operation Work Brake,” a five-day enforcement campaign. The campaign was held July 9 through July 13, when Troop T stepped up enforcement efforts on the Thruway.
“As we are in the prime highway construction season, improving our roads and bridges, we remind drivers that with the construction comes an important warning: please slow down through work zones,” said Thruway Authority Executive Director Thomas J. Madison.
