A Pennsylvania state senator seeking next year’s Republican nomination for governor says he doesn’t plan to apologize for calling billionaire Democratic donor George Soros “a Hungarian Jew” with “a hatred for America.”
Sen. Scott Wagner told the York Daily Record on Monday that “everybody’s getting their knickers around their ankles over this and there’s no reason for that.”
Wagner’s comments were recorded by an opposition tracker at a tomato festival in Pittston last week.
He says if Soros was Catholic, he’d have called him a Hungarian Catholic, and meant no offense by it. He says his comments weren’t meant to be disrespectful or racist.
On Monday, the state Democratic Party described Wagner’s comments as anti-Semitic.
Wagner says he has a long record of donating to the York Jewish Community Center.

Huhh??? What does Soros’ religion have to do with anything, whether he is a Yid, Catholic or agnostic . Its fine to dispute Soros and everything he stands for but just like all the other newly emerged right-wing, anti-Semitic Trumpkopfs seeking office, he cannot just say “don’t take offense”….We do and we will….
Probably because everything he does in in the name of being Jewish, which we know he hates being.
George Soros is a despicable piece of human detritus. The only objection I have to identifying him as a Jew is that it gives real Jews a bad name by association. For those who may have missed the memo, Soros survived the Holocaust by betraying in his fellow Jews in hiding to the Nazis Y”S for money, and he continues his treacherous actions towards the Country that gave him, not only shelter, but the opportunity to become wealthy, no doubt by underhanded means. I, frankly, do not know a word obscene enough to adequately describe him.
Dont insult Jews. His parents already hated Jews back in the day.
As the saying goes, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Redleg,
Great comment. I agree with you 100%
