U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David M. Friedman made a special trip to the Kosel on Monday.
The purpose of the visit was to pray for all those affected by Hurricane Harvey which has caused catastrophic damage in Texas.
Friedman tweeted:
“Prayed today at the Western Wall for all of those afflicted by Harvey. May God have mercy upon them and restore their losses. #TexasStrong”

which other ambassador prayed at their “holy site” for hurricane victims?
What was he doing there? Doesn’t he know that is Palestinian property and as Ambassador to Israel he should uphold his country’s neutral position.
The Kosel is not a photo-op for politicians
He’s in Israel. Why doesn’t he wear his kippa all the time?
For a change, I’m not upset about a poltical appointee acting “political”…no big deal
“Photo op” stands for photo opportunity. This is an opportunity of the highest order. He was mekadesh shem shomayim and teaching millions of Jews and non-Jews what to do during an eis tzara-DAVEN! Unlike most people who hear about the difficulties that others are experiencing and just giving a sigh and a shake of the head and saying “gee, what a shame” this man was a true ambassador of the Jewish people. That little sigh does not help anyone. If you get up and daven for them it really has the power to help them.
Kol Hakavod R’ Dovid. Keep up the good work.
