The Embassy of Israel in Canberra has been evacuated while police investigate a suspicious package.

Israeli Diplomat Dror Schapira told the Daily Telegraph that he and his colleagues were evacuated from the Yarralumla office about 11.45AM today.

“We received a suspicious package and now the police are investigating that,” Mr Schapira said. “Until the investigation is complete, that is all I can say.”

An ACT police spokeswoman said police were still at the scene investigating the incident.
