According to the Times Herald Record, Kutsher’s Sports Academy is moving from Sullivan County, and Camp Rov Tov has signed a five-year lease to hold summer camp on the sports academy’s site.
Moishe Indig told the Record that they have signed a 5-year lease on the property. Owner Mark Kutsher did not return telephone calls to the Record.
The land is unlikely to be tax-free, town assessor Nora Hughson said, because the camp does not own it.
Camp Rov Tov, which caters to boys between the ages of 8 and 13, was formerly based in Livingston Manor. Because most of the campers’ parents stay in Fallsburg, Liberty and Monticello, Indig said the new location is ideal.
The new campsite includes a 225-acre lake, new bunks, and a 15,000-square-foot lodge. It was home to camps and resorts in the past.

I always used to say that Kutcher’s which is one of the last large Hotels in the mountains would be a “Great” place for a heimishe crowd, the grounds are magnificent and its in the center of the center of the Borscht belt, I am delighted that Satmar is taking it over, my dream is being fulfilled.
Wonderful.. I should be a really good facility for the kids. Burich Hashem
#4 the the story says that the Satmar have leased the Sports Academy which is a seperate entity from the Hotel and it’s main property. It does not say that Kutcher’s the hotel has been sold or even leased….sorry!
