A week after a family discovered messages of hate spray-painted on their Southwest Miami-Dade home, police have arrested 5 people who they said are responsible.
Police said 5 teenagers are responsible for the vicious words and symbols scrawled on the house: Nazi swastikas, anti-Semitic messages, and words so vile, we can’t even write them. The four boys and one girl, ages 16 to 19 all face felony charges of criminal mischief.
Police said that because the hateful nature of the crime, the charges will be elevated from 3rd to 2nd degree felonies, which means that if convicted, the suspects could receive 5 to 10 years in jail.
