One of the vans in the fleet of a popular Miami area Kosher bakery was stolen and used as a getaway vehicle by a bank robber.
The driver of Zak the Baker’s delivery truck No. 2 left his van outside a store, while he delivered an order of fresh bread on Wednesday morning. When he walked out, his truck was gone.
The first thing owner Zak Stern did, was call the other customers on the delivery truck’s route and inform them that their orders would be delayed.
He then informed Police that his white van with the word “BAKERY” emblazoned in black across the side, had been stolen.
Shortly after 11 AM that morning, news reports began circulating that a white Zak the Baker van had been used in the holdup at a TD Bank branch at 7400 SW 40th St. There, thieves fired a few shots, demanded cash, and then took off with an unspecified amount of cash.
Police canvassed the area for the missing truck for several hours. Several drivers of the five identical Zak the Baker trucks were pulled over and interrogated by officers during the search.
A few hours later, the FBI informed Stern that they found the truck near 6300 Manor Lane in South Miami and it would be returned later that day.
The thieves are still on the loose. With the dough!

Should this type of (albeit interesting) story really be considered “Yeshiva World News” or is it more like tabloid sensationalism more suited for people not exactly in the yeshiva world?
If they catch and convict the perps, will they break out of jail using files baked into a challah? Shondah.
