Prosecutors will ask a grand jury to indict a gang of teens on hate crime charges in the attack on straphangers wishing fellow passengers a happy Chanukah on the Q train – as was reported HERE on YW.
The revelation came yesterday as some of the teenage suspects appeared in Brooklyn Criminal Court for the first time since the attack.
“There is sufficient evidence,” Assistant District Attorney Charles Guria told Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Alvin Yearwood.
The beating victims said they have no doubts the attack was religiously motivated. “They said, ‘You dirty Jews, you killed Jesus … you should all die,'” they said.
