Fire In Sky-Lake Synagogue In North Miami Beach Florida


IMG_1454.jpgA fire broke out on Wednesday evening at the Sky-Lake Synagogue on NW 183rd Street in North Miami Beach. Numerous firefighters from Miami-Dade FD responded to the blaze – which reportedly started in the kitchen of the Shul. A member of the NMB Shmira Patrol told Yeshivaworld, that the fire started from a boiling pot of oil on the stove.

Although there were children in the building at the time, Boruch Hashem everyone was safely evacuated from the building.

Additionally, all the Sifrei Torah were B”H removed and are safe.

There is excessive damage due to smoke, water, and windows broken.

NMB Shmira was on the scene for hours, assisting in cleaning up the mess in the building, and helping in arranging alternative plans for the Shul, and the school that uses the building.
