Donald Trump Jr. is facing criticism for tweeting in the hours after Wednesday’s London attack a months-old comment from London Mayor Sadiq Khan that terror attacks are part of living in a big city.
Trump Jr. tweeted : “You have to be kidding me?!: Terror attacks are part of living in big city, says London Mayor Sadiq Khan.” The tweet included a link to a Sept. 22 story from Britain’s Independent newspaper that includes the quote from Khan, who was asking Londoners to be vigilant following a bombing in New York City.
British Member of Parliament Wes Streeting was among numerous Britons who responded to the tweet with criticism. He called Trump Jr. “a disgrace” and accused him of using a terrorist attack for “political gain.”
When asked about Trump Jr. on Thursday, Khan told CNN: “I’m not going to respond to a tweet from Donald Trump Jr. I’ve been doing far more important things over the past 24 hours.”
He added that “terrorists hate the fact” that cities including London, New York and Paris have “diverse communities living together peacefully.”

The goal should not to be to be “prepared for these things”. The goal should be to eliminate “these things”. And that is the point. And that is why these guys criticizing Trump Junior are of questionable, even dangerous, ideology.
Let’s also ignore the fact that this terror attack isn’t the first or the last. London has apparently prevented 11 before this one. Islam is attacking the west. The liberals have turned so green, they are laying down on like the grass and allowing themselves to be trampled upon.
Trump Jr, correct
Leftist (and possibly islamist) mayor, wrong.
hmmmmm. to one and two: last time I looked , there were plenty of terrorist attacks in Jerushalaim and other places in eretz yisroel. Are you accusing the Israelis of being soft on terror??? it is a fact that there will be terrorist attacks for a long time -and we will fight them and destroy them. For now, the best thing is to continue living as if nothing happened. THAT is the Mayor of London/s message.
