The tri-state area is bracing for some nasty winter weather this morning. A mix of rain, sleet and snow started to fall across the region early Sunday, making travel hazardous in certain areas.

Anywhere from a coating to three inches of snow could fall, with some sleet mixing in before it changes to rain sometime in the early afternoon.

Please use extreme caution while driving on Sunday morning.
