  1. This is terrible , hashem yerachem. I just met him a month ago and he seemed fine. He was a fine man with exceptional middos.Yehi Zichro Boruch and may we never have to hear such Tzar.

  2. He was from Detroit originally. His wife was a daughter of R’ Shlomo and Sara Newmark of Chicago. They have 3 children, v’od 1 lavo, b’sha’ah Tova.
May the Avi yesomim v’Dayan almanos comfort them and give kochos to go forward.

  3. I’m in absolute shock! I was just in touch with them for something and everything seemed fine. I can’t believe this. This is terrible. He left behind 3 children, nebuch. Oy, this is so sad.

  4. I have been at Trim Gym for over 2 years and found Shia to be a kind and gentle person. I knew him and I liked him. And I also know that Hashem knows best what is good for us on Oilam Hazeh.

We should write personal stories of the Niftar so we can all share in the joy of having known him.

  5. Shea was the sweetest guy around. He was always extremely freindly and didn’t make a move without Daas Torah. His chaverim will miss him terribly. May Hashem console his wife who always stood by him like a true Aishes Chayil.

  6. Boruch Dayan Hamemes. THis is a terrible tragedy.

Can someone please provide me with information on the levaya, including the address of the bais olam, as soon as possible. I am a relative.

  7. What terrible news! I am just listening to a voicemail message that Shea left me less than 2 weeks ago. You can hear the tremendous finekiet. A special Middah that he had was his Hakoras Hatov – he did not stop thanking me for a Toivah that I was lucky enough to do for him. May he be a Meiltz Yoshur for his wife who took such good care of him and the business, for his family and for Klal Yisroel.

  8. I don’t know who Shea was, but he must have been very special if Hashem wanted him back already. May we be zoche to see Mashiach really soon!!

  9. Boruch Dayin Emes! It is nice to see the wonderfull comments about this nifter. I did not know him personaly, however perhaps we can all be mekabel something to better ourselves as a zchus for his neshama.
So many people we know are leaving this world at a very young age. May I humbly suggest that we treat all those we come in contact with, as we would if we knew they would shortly pass on. How different we would act to a freind, family member, store clerk, or business relationship.
    Hamokom Yinachem the Aveilim
    Yehi Zichron Boruch!

  10. Thank you Yiskay for your thoughtful words. After waking up this morning and hearing this terrible news I am humbly asking those I came in contact with through out these blogs including Joseph for mechilah. Life is too short and precious and its not worth the sinas chinom. Hashem sends us these messages periodically so that we should improve ourselves and make changes.

  11. editor please correct comment #3 re r’ shea perlstein to read that his wife IS the daughter of Rabbi and Mrs Newmark, BH she is alive and well. May Hashem give her and the entire family the koach they need.

thank you for keeping us up to date on the levaya details. may you only report good news about klal yisroel in the future!

  12. Baruch Dayan Emes! My husband was chavrusas with him every morning until recently. He constantly gave my husband chizuk to have stronger emunah in Hakodosh Baruch Hu whenever my husband would complain about different stresses in life. There is not enough good to say about him. May he be a mailitz yosher for his entire mishpocha and for Klal Yisroel.

  13. I am in shock and speechless such a chosheve yungerman! He was a real tzaddik and his middos was something really special. He always had a smile on his face and always spoke in the most eidel tone always thank you very much or please. Hashem should have rachmonis on his mishpacha and especially his children.

  14. How we can do ourselves a favor and support the Almonah!
Get Fit. We are obligated to look after our Guf ” Ushmartem Me’oid Nafshosechem”
One way to do this mitzvah is to exercise on a regular basis. The most Znius way is to do it in a Gym or at home. By joining Trim Gym ($400.00 per person) you will allow the Almonah to escape from her onerous debt. When I was at the gym this morning they told me they could surely absorb 500 more members without it being a burden on the equipment.
500 members works out to $200,000 of immediate income to the almonah without any immediate extra outlay at the gym.
There are 6-8000 families in this community . Fr4om my understanding the Gym has a bout a 1000 members. You want to help an Almonah. Call Trim Gym during this week of Shivah – Join the Gym – Pay your annual dues- help the Almonah and then – you can be Menachem Oval if you want.

  15. all who daven at satmar at mincha time will sorely miss shea’s pouring out his heart to hashem.he will always be in our broken hearts. The community has lost a gem.Lets try to remember periodically when doing a holy thing to dedicate it to his holy neshama. He will surely be fighting for us up there as or friend shia could and would .yehey zichro boruch.

  16. I still cant believe that wonderful shea is not with us.
It’s mamesh a pachad that a few weeks ago i met him and he looked totally fine and now he is in the olom haemes.
maybe we can be mechazick in bein adam lachavayro specifically with shmeras halashon as a zcus for sheas lofty neshama.
Like everyone that knew him its impossible to forget him.
    Brokenhearted in lakewood

  17. Full name of niftar is Yehoshua Meir ben Aryeh Leib. He was a great grandson of Harav Moshe Dovid Ostreicher, known as the Chimper Rav, a great tzaddik and genius. As a distant relative of the niftar, I am sorry that I was not privileged to have known him. Hashem should give the entire family koach to deal with this difficult nisoyon. Hamokom yenachem es kol hamishpacha. Moshiach Yovo Bimheira

  18. Shia was a tremendous person whom always was puttingfunds toghether for people who needed it. It is our turn now, he DID NOT OWN TRIM GYM AND BECOMING A MEMBER THERE WONT HELP. He was bought out awhile ago and was paid a salary for his time. We need large checks made out by the Askanim in America. The family needs money so that his wife and three children (fourth is due I”h this week) can put it in a secure fund and live like normal people. He had no life insurance bc he had this Machla six years ago (which is around when he got married) and he was UNINSURABLE. This is the real deal my friends and we need people to step up and help this amazing soft spoken persons family out. If anyone has questions they can call me at 7324257433.

  19. Reb Mechel, Hakol Mochul Loch. We all need lessons in humility and contriteness as we get carried away with the distance of the keyboard. We all need to forgive and be forgiven for our failings as human beings.

  20. PLEASE FUNDS ARE NEEDED DESPERATELY, IF THERE IS ANONE IN ANY CITY THAT CAN MAKE AN APPEAL IN THEIR SHUL OR GO TO THEIR RELATIVES IT IS NEEDED NOW! A NEW BABY IS COMING AND ITS FATHER IS NO LONGER HERE. PLEASE WHATEVER YOU CAN DO IS MORE THAN IS BEING DONE NOW! IF YOU NEED INFO ON THIS OR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME ANYTIME 732 425 7433. Thank you and with this zechus of providing for Shia’s A”h family no one else in Klal Yisroel should ever have to face this. MI KEAMCHA YISROEL!! Thats our battle cry , we need to go to battle. Please join me and my chaverim and lets do right by this special person

  21. onlooker: i was told that the parents שיחיו will be sitting in Lakewood.
They were neighbors of ours in Detroit, and are a very very fine family. Hashem should only send them simcha.

  22. carl,
i am not an askan , nor have the money i wish i did to give. but i would like to know of an address to which i could send a check. please post or provide to yw editor who could forward it to those who express interest.
    many thanks. b’hatzlacha.

  23. Carl,

Can you let the oylam know exactly how you are sending the money to the family?

In addition can you verify that what your saying is true?

  24. Dearest Carl and all other readers:
I personally don’t have any idea where people get their information. I have to say that if anyone wants to do something for the family it would be to join Trim Gym in Shea’s name. His intention was to offer this community a place that they could go to become healthier and lead an active lifestyle. He was an owner and it would benefit his family. They lived a humble life always giving to people. Maybe it’s time that the community give back!!!!!

  25. I don’t know if anyone is currently reading this forum but I am very close to the Perlsteins. I verified (last night) that it would be of great help to Shea’s wife and children for people to join the Gym. It was NOT sold and they would benefit directly. Tizku Lemitzvos.
