Misaskim has informed Yeshivaworld of the Petira of Rav Aaron Braun ZATZAL, Dean at Yeshiva Torah Vodaas for the past 50 years. The Levaya will take place at 12:30PM by the Belz Bais Medrash, 18th Avenue and 51st Street – followed by a Levaya at 1:30PM by Yeshiva Torah Vodaas, East 9th Street between Ditmas Avenue & Cortelyou Road. He did much for the Yeshiva -most of it behind the scenes.
He was a special Yid from the Shearis Hapleitah that helped build Torah back after the war.

Baruch dayan emes. Reb Aharon was a distant relative of mine but he held himself very close. He always had a smile on his face. He was a very special person who will be very missed in my family. We are all bereft because a real tzadik was niftar.
We should only hear good besuros.
He accepted many talmidim into Yeshiva Torah Vodaas although they were unable to pay any tuition. My brothers and I are just a few of those fortunate beneficiaries.
A kind warm gentle man. You felt he genuinely loved each and every talmid.
I will always remember this special, special man.
He was as important to the yeshiva as any rosh yeshiva.
Everyone will miss him.
If I recall, he was the one parents spoke to in order to arrange tuition. I cannot think of a time I saw him without a smile on his face. Just walking past him in the YTV hallways would give a person a tremendous amount of simcha. He never made anyone feel bad that they couldnt afford s’char limud including my own parents.
Levaya was at Belz and Yeshiva Torah V’daas.
Niftar will be flown to Eretz Yisroel.
At end of YTV levaya they announced that the levaya in Eretz Yisroel will be at 7:00 in Belz Yerushalayim.
klal yisroel has lost a true oihaiv yisroel and an unuv of the highest caliber.a man who lived through the holocaust and saw what the Nazis did to yiddeshe kinderlach and dedicated his life to making sure our generation could learn torah and grow up to be ehrleche yidden.
may he be a mailitz yoisher for his family, the yeshiva and all of klal yisroel. he will be dearly missed
