We regret to inform you of the petira of Rav Shmuel Halevi Jaeger ZATZAL, father of the Rosh Yeshiva Of Shor Yoshov, Harav Naftali Jaeger Shlita. The Levaya will be taking place in Shomrei Hachomos Chapels – Fort Hamilton Parkway and 43rd Street in Brooklyn at 1:00PM followed by a flight to Eretz Yisroel at JFK Cargo area B (entrance right after Korean Airlines cargo area).
There will be a levaya in Eretz Yisroel on Thursday 1:00PM at Shamgar, followed by kevurah on Har Hamenochos. The rosh Yeshiva will be sitting shiva at the Gutwirth home – 1356 East 17th Street in Flatbush from Friday morning until Tuesday morning.

What a loss. Rav Jaeger is one of Klal Yisroel’s gems–a baki in literally of Shas with Rishonim, Acharonim and Poskim; a mechadesh; an anav; a baal middos par excellence; and a man who radiates with the tzurah of Yid. Hamokom Yenachem. With the tzoros he experiences over the last two years, with the loss of the daughter and now this, I can only wish him that he should not know tzaar and enjoy tremendous nachas from his chashuve family and talmidim.
This may not be known so well, but those in his shiur and many in his yeshiva are genuine bnei Torah–top learners, top middos. He should have nachas from all of them, too.

Does anyone have a recording of the levays specificially of Rabbi Jaeger speaking and even better would be video. There is so much we can learn by the Rosh Yeshivas behavior through his nisaynos and may he me comforted amon the mourners of zion.
