None Hurt In Monroe House Fire

Firefighters kept a kitchen fire from spreading to the rest of a house today in the Town of Monroe, the Times Herald Record is reporting.

Monroe Fire Chief Vini Tankasali said the residents were home in the two-story colonial when they noticed the fire, but everyone made it out safely. Monroe and Kiryas Joel firefighters responded about 5:40 p.m. to the house on Seven Springs Road. No one was hurt, and although the fire appears accidental, the cause is being investigated..
