TSA Agent Arrested For Stealing iPads From Travelers

A TSA agent is on administrative leave after authorities said he stole iPads from checked luggage at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Clayton Keith Dovel, 35, used his position working in the “Resolution Room,” where luggage in need of additional screening is looked at by hand, to nab the high-priced electronic, WFAA-TV reported.

He was busted when a quick-thinking victim used the tracking device on his stolen iPad to lead cops to Dovel’s home, where they discovered seven other iPads, according to the TV station.

It’s unclear how many iPads he stole.

“If they’re the guys who are protecting us and they’re not, who am I going to trust next?” one angry victim, Borna Mojra, told the TV station.

A TSA spokeswoman told the Daily News that the TSA has “a zero tolerance policy for theft in the workplace.”

  1. I guess since he wasn’t doing his job, he cannot be considered in “the workplace.” Ergo he did not commit theft in the workplace. Ergo they may just tolerate it.

  2. Nice job TSA! You’ve done it again! Proved that your a bunch of incompotent crooks. One day its bombs sitting out in the open. The next day a whole terminal is closed down cause a guy walked straight past you. And what do you know, you people steal from us as well!
Instead of catching terrorist, your catching our property!
    Close down the TSA!
