German Holiday Inn Refuses Reservations From Neo-Nazis

hi.jpgThe Holiday Inn hotel in Dresden, Germany took a stand against hate groups and refused to accept reservations made by members of the Nazi sympathizing National Democratic Party. In a letter written by hotel manager Johannes Lohmeyer that was then sent to top NDP officials, the chain demanded the group cancel their reservations. Should they fail to do so, Lohmeyer wrote, the hotel would make sure all profits from their stay would be donated the city’s local synagogue.

You gotta give the manager credit. That’s a pretty creative threat. Thank you for standing up to bigotry.

  2. Without a doubt, the Manager of this Holiday Inn is a mensch. He should be commended and recognized by his company for his courageous and innovative position. It’s very refreshing to see that there are some in Germany that have broken with the terrible ways of the past.
