Brooklyn state Sen. Carl Kruger — crass embodiment of Albany piggishness for 17 years — was hit with nine to 11 years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to corruption schemes that netted him upward of $1 million.
Finally, appropriate punishment for one of New York’s many brazen politicians who seem to skate every which way into sentences that are little better than those meted out for misdemeanors.
Kruger’s blubbered apology in Manhattan Federal Court was purely pathetic after a 30-year career of serial shakedowns.
A crew was at his office o Avenue U in Brooklyn, Wednesday morning, and removed the sign which had been there for years.
Good riddance.

Now that Kruger’s incessant junk mails will presumably cease, does this mean that the Post Office will no longer have a deficit?
“..crass embodiment of Albany piggishness…”
“Kruger’s blubbered apology…”
I think that even when YWN quotes the NY Daily News they still dont have to quote the lowlife language (which the lowly NYDN is famous for). Just because words are not obscene it doesn’t mean that they are appropriate for quote by YWN.
The same news article could have been written without this lanuage use.
@ #1. In yesterdays mail I got a flyer from Krueger. Hopefully it will be the very last one.
@ #2. What phrase do you find associated with lowlifes? What word(s). Crass? Piggishness? Associated?
