Hundreds of mourners gathered at Temple Beth Emunah on Torrey Street to remember Mark A. Vasa of Norwell as a doctor, a father and a mensch.”
Mark’s professional life was filled with accomplishments,” said Rabbi Benjamin Lefkowitz, who delivered the eulogy Thursday and listed Vasa’s many affiliations beyond his job as chief of radiation oncology at Brockton Hospital.”
But what isn’t on his (curriculum vitae) is the number of lives he saved or the devotion he gave to every patient,” Rabbi Lefkowitz said.
Vasa, 58, was one of the two people who died Monday when a car plowed into the radiation therapy center at Brockton Hospital, where he was working. Two other people were injured.
