[Click HERE for photos of the Levaya] Yeshivaworld has just been informed of the sudden passing of Dr. Jerome L. Finkelstein Z”L. Dr. Finkelstein was well known throughout the Jewish communities in the NYC area – as having been the chief doctor in the Staten Island Burn Center – and treated thousands of Frum patients over the years. Misaskim units are on the scene of his home in Queens at this time, and the Levaya will take place in Shomrei Hadas Chapels sometime this afternoon. (Exact time will be posted as soon as they are made available to us.)
Dr. Jerome L. Finkelstein, was one of the nation’s foremost authorities on adult and pediatric burn care, and authored extensive articles on burn care which are used as standards of reference by burn centers around the world.
He worked closely with Hatzolah volunteers from the NYC area.

my son was burnt very badly 2 years ago
and the unbeleivable giving of himself to make sure that another yid was taken care of even though it was shabbos and he could have easily not gotten involved,but to him it was the most important thing in the world to be there.the thing is he did not even know us from atom.
if he wasnt there,the doctors probably would have given my son grafts and it would have not been the same. he calmed all of us.
this story and i am sure many others should be a zchus for his neshama.
he should be a meilitz yosher for all of us.
