[Click HERE to watch a video & click HERE to see a complete photo album of this historic event.] Many Gedolim and Askonim gathered in Yerushalaim on Hoshanah Rabbah night at the Sukkah of the noted Askan, R’ Rubin Schron for the annual meeting to benefit AIRF (American Israel Relief Fund). The organization – founded by Maran Hagoen Rav Shmuel Berenbaum Shlita – has distributed tens of millions of dollars over the last few years to Bnei Torah across Eretz Yisroel to assist them in making Yom Tov. Reb Shmuel Shlita should be zoche to arichas yamim. He looks like a shadow of himself, yet he thinks nothing of devoting every waning bit of energy he has for Klal Yisroel.
