There was a minor scare in the air on this day that marks ten years since the 9/11 terror attacks.
Fighter jets were scrambled to escort an American Airlines jet into JFK airport because of passenger behavior.
According to the TSA, Department of Homeland Security and police, multiple passengers on that flight were reported moving in out and out of a restroom.
There were federal air marshals on board flight 34 from Los Angeles to JFK who were able to resolve the incident.
Police officials say the passengers complied with the air marshals’ instructions.
The pilot then radioed that the situation was under control.
Two F-16 fighter jets kept the passenger plane in their sights until it landed.
According to authorities the FBI and Port Authority Police met the flight when it landed.
Authorities are holding the passengers for questioning.
The New York City Police Department and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force were monitoring the incident in case additional resources were needed.
It remains unknown at this time why the behavior was deemed suspicious or the exact nature of the passengers’ behavior.

Paranoia
I’d rather paranoia now than c”v there really being an incident and everyone being laid back and chilled out.
Just because we’re paranoid doesn’t mean there aren’t people after us.
According to the news reports, several passengers locked themselves into the bathrooms and refused to come out for over an hour even after they had been asked to return to their seats. Who goes into one of those tiny airplane bathrooms for more than 2-3 minutes unless they have some evil intentions. There is no rational explaination otherwise. These were not some fum yidden who forgot the words to “asher yatzer” or somthing innocent like that.
You’d also be paranoid if all the Muslims in the world were trying to kill you.
