NWS Issues Tornado Watch For NYC [Motzei Shabbos 9:03PM EST]

As if the impending arrival of Hurricane Irene wasn’t excitement enough, the National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for New York City.

The watch went into effect at 6:55 p.m., and is set to expire at 4 a.m.

A “watch” differs from a “warning” in that a watch indicates that while conditions may be ripe for dangerous weather, such weather is not necessarily an immediate threat. A “warning” – like the hurricane warning the city is currently under – means that severe weather is imminent.

  1. Earthquake…Hurricane…Tornado…Albany “mini” earthquake…All in and around New York…G-d us upset at us? nah! Just regular meteorological events that are happening about a month after the gay activists have brought our society to its knees.

Cuomo is evil. He and Bloomberg couldn’t wait to pass this dastardly legislation and now the Creator of Man and Woman will teach them who is boss. This is a time for true believers to rejoice that Heaven is not silent as our society has been turned into Soddom right before our very eyes.

  2. we don’t know Hashem’s reasons. The fact that all these weird natural disasters are happening to new york right after the reshaim passed their toaiva bill is interesting. However, we shouldn’t declare everyone else’s aveiros to be the problem maybe our lashon hara, etc. is the cause. anyways rav yisrael salanter said that when religious jews don’t properly keep shabbos in vilna the hashpa’a causes frei jews to be michallel shabbos in paris. when frei yidden pass gay marriage in new york it’s partially our problem too.
