A 21-year-old man from an Arab village in northern Israel was seriously injured on Monday morning by an explosion caused by a device that was placed on the side of the road on Route 65 toward Afula.
The victim was driving his car near the Megiddo Junction when the device exploded. MDA paramedics administered emergency medical aid to the injured victim and evacuated him to Ha’Emek Medical Center in Afula.
He was later transferred to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where he is being treated in the ICU, sedated and ventilated.
The police and Shin Bet believe that the bombing was a terror attack rather than a criminal incident but the investigation is still ongoing.
