A new poll has shown that former President Donald Trump maintains a significant lead over his Republican rivals, beating Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by 30 points and former South Carolina Governor and Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley by a whopping 61 points in a full field. These results come despite DeSantis having soft-launched his presidential campaign and Haley officially announcing hers.
The Emerson College poll reveals that in the 2024 Republican Primary, Trump holds 55% of the vote, which reflects his standing in the January Emerson poll, as well as the June 2022 Emerson poll. Meanwhile, 25% of Republican primary voters support DeSantis for the GOP nomination, a four-point decrease since last month when he held 29% support. Former Vice President Mike Pence holds 8%, and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley holds 5%. Both Pence and Haley have increased their support by two percentage points since last month.
However, in a field that only includes officially-declared candidates, Trump crushes Haley by an even greater margin of 61 points. On a ballot of exclusively individuals who have announced their candidacy, 79% of respondents would support Donald Trump, 18% Nikki Haley, and 4% Vivek Ramaswamy.
Despite a mid-January poll showing DeSantis beating Trump head-to-head while losing in a wider field, recent head-to-head polls reveal that Trump holds double-digit leads over DeSantis. Of those who support DeSantis on the preliminary ballot, 62% support Trump on the declared ballot, and 29% support Haley.
Only a few months ago, many analysts were writing political obituaries for Trump in the wake of a chaotic Speaker of the House election and post-midterm soul-searching. However, recent polls show that Trump remains a dominant force in the Republican Party and stands to steamroll the Republican field.

How many people were polled?
Polls this far out almost never reflect reality.
I don’t know why we are breathlessly reporting “Trump up by a yuge number” or “Trump down massive” as though it matters.
A comparison of shoe size for all declared candidates would be a much more beneficial use of time
Haley and Trump could actually be collaborating to weaken DeSantis. Her payback is that he would choose her as a running mate.
It would be nice if he gets into office again ,
I just can’t imagine what the left will do if that happens
its not a comeback, they were never leading
We shall always support you, our beloved venerated President Donald Trump שליט”א.
You were there in Rubashkin’s hour of need, and we shall always exhibit our unwavering הכרת הטוב for you President Donald Trump שליט”א
Trump will win. it will be four more good years for USA
As long as he continues coming up with new catchy nicknames for his challengers he should continue to soar in the polls
What the left will do ? They will start with burning down a few cities in mostly peaceful protests because the majority of the protesters didn’t start a fire or kill a cop
If most of the people you poll are Trump supporters then that’s what your numbers are going to reflect if you do your poll in New York you’re going to get a different number. Amazing that there are actually people today that still believe in polls, but then again there are still people that were a mask alone in their car, yet here we are…..
*wear a mask
So Trump largely has a free hand to pick the Republican nominee, knowing his endorsement will be decisive. Of course he can run himself, but in that case Biden will be reelected with a “Blue wave”. It is for Trump to decide if he wants to go down as the “kingmaker” or the “loser”.
Eh, every day there’s different results.
Never believe these things.
