The attached photos speak for themselves.
While a selfless Chaveirim Volunteer leaves his job and gets his hands dirty to change a strangers flat tire, a greedy NYPD Traffic Enforcement Officer gives the volunteer a parking summons.
Welcome to NYC.

Two separate acts of kindness today in Brooklyn to help stranded motorists, but only one resulted in a summons for the Good Samaritan.
Hey – maybe the Chaverim (@Norabklyn) volunteer could have used some help changing the tire, instead of a $115 fine for aiding someone in need. pic.twitter.com/9HbDLOLwFn

Can we take predictions how the mayor will react to this outrage?
Oh he will have his day in court , pun intended. Not traffic court
May Hashpossible! Him in the worst way posibble!
what do you expect from a Muslim Bangladeshi whose whole life he was taught Jews are evil?
NYC parking tickets are a scam designed to steal money from citizens for the government’s pet projects. Vhameiven yovin.
That said the blame belongs to the government not the individual meter maid. He may have not realized the car he was ticketing belonged to the volunteer working on another nearby car. And once he started issuing the ticket his system doesn’t allow him to cancel it.
“Respect”?
NY state tainted with Chucki and Nadler self hate. When they side with Shifty Schift and the like of Anti Semites of Omar, AOC and Islamist and make an Anti Semitic resolution into Anti Muslim resolution and no one utters a word and like poppies put their hand out for section 8, you can cry all you want in NY and you won’t get any respect.
His public school upbringing failed to teach him to use his heart and brain … Just a other public servant who graduated from public school.
OK, the photo shows a “No Standing Anytime” sign with an arrow pointing in the direction where the Car driven by the member of Chaveirim is parked. I don’t know if chaveirim have parking placards or not (i cant tell from the picture). If they don’t why should the officer not issue the ticket? Does the fact the driver is doing a chesed is Docheh Dinah Dmalchusa Dinah?
Also why do you sate he is a “greedy” agent? While I agree he can use his judgement he technically doing his job.
Why does he have permission to break laws just because he’s changing a tire?
Greedy?? They work on commission? Poor journalism.
de Blasio set the mood!
in all fairness did the agent know that the guy helping to fix the tire was the owner of the car. From the pictures there is nothing to indicate the car’s owner is helping anyone.
While its absolutely disgusting to ticket these selfless volunteers and nobody should ever condoneit, we should understand under what circumstances these NYPD officers are working in.
They’re being shoved at, spit at, thrown empty cartons on their vehicles to slow them down plus a lot more. Its unfortunate that the heroes suffer from it. The NYC anti police force are to blame for all of it.
This NYPD traffic dude needs to be educated what Chaveirim is all about. Also needs to be educated in general.
I agree with “lowerourtuition11210” 100%.
Time to start “Chaveiros”. No reason for a lady with a flat should have 2 men come help her! A shanda
11210
I was waiting (the equivalent to a chosid shoiteh) to say something brilliant like Dineh Dmalchuseh dineh…
“He was just doing his job” wasn’t he? (Where did I hear this before? O right, (Nazi soldiers….)
Thanks for not making me hold my breath.
The metermaids and chaverim both need education in this area. Also ,everyone is judging with out knowing the facts and not knowing what the ticket is for. Also i will tell you first hand that ive seen countless times where chaverim run red lights, because they simply think they can, when its totally illegal for them to do so.
It is ironic that you highlight ZERO RESPECT in your headline….
You are quick to jump to a conclusion that this volunteer
was disrespected……which is debatable..
Yet you allow comments that are BELOW ZERO with regard
to respect , decency …etc…
respect is a two way street
learn how to change your own stinking tire and this wont happen–it is not complicated.
Y2R: Thanks for comparing me to a nazi. As someone who works in law enforcement and with man retired NYPD detectives, i can readily understand a traffic enforcement officer doing his job. What if the person changing the tire was not a member of chaverim but just someone who stopped to help a fellow yid change the tire. It still does not give him a right to park in a spot marked “No Standing Anytime”. Let him fight the violation by saying he was a “good samaritan”. Sorry but illegal parking is still illegal parking.
I don’t like quoting Ed Koch, but
“The people have voted and now they shall be punished. ”
Anyone want to guess who all the askonim will tell us to vote for in the next mayoral elections?
What a chutzpah
