Once again, the Israel Air Force targeted terrorist objectives in northern Gaza, including a training base, in retaliation for the firing of two rockets into southern Israel on Sunday evening. A rocket landed near a home in the Western Negev. Fortunately, the home was empty at the time of the attack. The building sustained light damage.
A few hours later, close to 3:00am, sirens wailed in the Ashkelon Coast Council. The IDF Spokesman reported the rocket fell short of its intended target, exploding in Gaza.
Here’s an image of the house that was hit this evening and the second rocket that hit an open area – a slight nudge of the launcher and it could’ve also hit the house in the background. #Hanukkah miracles pic.twitter.com/HrRKQZii07

Media reporting that the family heard the siren, had 15 seconds (read that out loud) to take cover in the safe room, and then they heard a huge explosion.

The rocket fire from Gaza has resumed on an almost daily basis and for residents of Gaza border communities, they must once again remain within 15 seconds of a safe room. Leaders of many border communities are calling on the government and IDF to not wait for the situation to escalate but to respond firmly now, to bring and end to the rocket fire.

One Response
They need to move the border with Gaza. Each attempt at an act of terror should cost them several square miles. They should also raze to the ground a few city blocks of Gaza City. The world public opinion will not matter.
