YWN regrets to inform you of the Petira of 4-month-old Yosef Meir Braun A”H, who died Wednesday morning from injuries sustained in last weeks accident on Route 59.
As YWN had reported, the 38-year-old mother and her kids – two girls ages 13 and 9 and a 3-month old boy in a stroller – were all walking along the westbound shoulder of the roadway when they were hit by a gold colored Toyota Corolla sedan driven by 62-year-old Albert Gomez, of Spring Valley. There are no sidewalks along the stretch of road where the violent collision occurred.
Police arrested the driver, Albert Gomez, 62, of Spring Valley, on two felony counts of second-degree assault; two misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault, four of second-degree reckless endangerment and one of reckless driving.
Rockland Hataolah rushed all the victims to the hopsital. Yosef Meir had been transported to Nyack Hospital where the boy was stabilized. He was then transported to Westchester Medical Center where the rest of the injured family were hospitalized.
Sadly, doctors did all they could to save his life, but unfortunately, he was Niftar early Wednesday morning.
The Levaya will take place at 11AM Wednesday morning at Kollel Zichron Menachem, 10 Maple Terrace in Monsey.
Boruch Dayan HaEmmes…
