Shas party leader Minister Aryeh Deri is likely to soon be questioned by police of the 433 Unit ‘under warning’, with the latter indicating that an indictment in the case is likely. An investigation has been ongoing for about a year, during which time members of Deri’s family were questioned. There has been a gag order on the case to date.
Questioning of Deri will likely address a number of matters and also involve Tax Authority agents, who were a part of the undercover investigation. It appears he received large sums of money, which he failed to report to tax authorities.
