YWN has recieved word moments ago that Michael McGuire (R) has just defeated Cindy Barber in the race for Sullivan County Judge by a wide margin.

Michael McGuire, began his career as an Assistant District Attorney under Steven Lungen, is well known among Sullivan County’s legal community for his experience handling criminal, family, and civil litigation.

McGuire will be taking the seat of Judge Burt Ledina, who will reach mandatory retirement at the end of this year.
