Five people were taken to Albany Medical Center Sunday afternoon after a spectacular crash in Hillsdale. The accident, on Rt. 23, near Bushnell Road happened around 3:30. Sheriffs Deputies say four people were traveling east on Rt. 23 when they veered in front of an oncoming tractor trailer filled with hay. The driver of the truck apparently attempted to avoid the head on collision, veered right, flipped over and took out 4 power poles and causing a grass fine near the road.
One person was flown to Albany Med. The others were transported via ambulance. Investigators were on the scene piecing together the details.
