U.S. House Speaker John Boehner visited Sullivan County, Tuesday afternoon.

He was the guest of honor at a fundraiser that Cablevision founder Alan Gerry held for Rep. Chris Gibson at The CVI Building in Ferndale.

Rabbi Abe Friedman, a well-known Jewish community activist attended the event, and was spotted chatting with Boehner.

Friedman spoke with YWN Catskills, and said he was grateful to have the opportunity to personally thank the Speaker for his support of the Jewish community.
