State Police has informed YWN that Brett Labbs, age 48 of Hawley, PA has succumbed to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Monday in the Town of Thompson.

Labbs was operating a 2010 Mack garbage truck owned by Waste Management of Pennsylvania, Inc that was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer owned by Estes Express Lines of the Town of Wallkill.

The operator of the Estes truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.
