Heavy rain in Sullivan County flooded roads here in Bloomingburg. Some streets were impassable with the amount of water that poured through.
Responding crews said water came down off higher elevations and it appears no one was injured.
Emergency crews said when drivers see water in the road the best idea is to turn around.
“They had a warning for Bloomingburg/Otisville area and I guess we had some hail quarter-inch in size and a lot of water came down off the mountain and kind of washed out the houses around here and a couple houses up the road,” said Charlie Griswald, Bloomingburg Fire Department Chief.
