Jet 2 has confirmed it is to drop flights between Manchester and Tel Aviv this November.
Business Traveller was alerted to the news by industry website airlineroute.net, and a statement obtained from the carrier confirms the move:
“We have taken the difficult decision to stop operating our Manchester to Tel Aviv service from 4th November 2013. We are notifying passengers in advance to allow alternative travel arrangements to be made. Passengers who have already booked will be given a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Jet 2 launched flights between the two cities in May 2009, but has had competition on the route since November 2012, when Easyjet launched a twice-weekly service.
