Besides for being a Talmid Chochom, he was very big in Hachnosas Oirchim. He was gur a Gesmaker Yid. One wake up call after another. Raboisai we must do Teshuva.

  2. Oy, what a horrible end for a man who at one time was a major askan. Back in the good old days, he used to invite 10-20 guests every single Shabbos and served them like royalty. From Roshei Yeshiva to aniyim merudim evryone was welcome. The money he raised at parlor meetings in his home for Lakewood, for Beer Hagolah, for Slabodka was enormous. A fabulous askan, at one time he made a kosher pizza shop in manhattan just to have a place for kiruv rechokim. His father was a talmid chacham and askan in Toronto, and his shver was Rabbi Eichenstein from Chicago. He learned in Lakewood and was a mekurev by Maran Reb Shneur zatzal. Chaval al de’Avdin.

  3. these kind of things happening & people being Niftar at young ages or in strange ways R”L are all wake up call to klal yisroel & to the people of that town, that we only care about ourselves, but when it comes to helping/caring for another yid then i cannot help you.
with that being the case, each time tragedy strikes Hashem has the same question-for each person separately-now you have woken up, now you are crying at this baby’s levaya R”L but when we hear of someone else in tragic cases… we dont care. hashem then wants to know if we will wake up now to help others or do we need another tragic WAKE-UP call from hashem C”V to care for one another?

  4. A TRUE TZADIK THAT FOR 9 MONTHS WHILE MY FATHER WAS ILL DID NOT MISS ALMOST A DAY TO VISIT, ASK IF HE COULD HELP, PUT ON TFILLIN WITH MY FATHER OR CHECK WHAT WAS NEEDED TNTBTH THE TWERSKY FAMILY CHICAGO

  5. Reb A.C. was a relative of mine…regardless of what his financial situation was (he went from being fabulously wealthy to losing everything in the real estate crash of the ’80s) he was a good person, a ba’al chessed and an anav. And contrary to the title of this post, he was hardly an “elderly person” – he had a lot of energy and a real simchas hachaim. He was from a very yichusdike family of Dzikover chassidim. May his wife and children be comforted amongst the mourners of tzion and yisrael. G’mar chasimah tova to us all.
